The wine list had a comprehensive selection of local wines and advice was on hand to help you choose the best one for your meal The staff were attentive throughout our visit It was lovely to see someone dining alone there and having a good time. Having dined out alone on many occasions I find some restaurants make you feel comfortable and this is one of them. Lastly the restaurant is in a side street and their prices are very reasonable

There are Maltese tiles on the floor and the walls are a deep blue, resulting in a more grand yet cosier experience. A waiter brought a delicious selection of warm fresh bread to the table and we then had a selection of starters. I had the salmon, which was delicate and fresh. The arancini was also a hit. For main course, most of us chose the rabbit We all really enjoyed it. Despite it being the national dish, I often don’t. But this was lovely and meaty, served on the bone. It had a delicious sauce and fabulous chunky chips to soak it up in. We then chose the imqaret and helwa dessert. Adored the former, found the latter too sweet for me. Many of the dishes on the menu were traditional Maltese recipes, but with a modern twist, which was nice as we had two visitors to Malta on our table. The other lovely thing we experienced was that the waiter would check in with us to see if we were ready for the second course. It meant we didn’t feel rushed and felt we could savour our food and the company,

The restaurant is cosy and romantic, whilst in a quiet street with very few people and cars passing by, thus great views with none of the loud interrupting noises outside. We could talk very easily with one another as the atmosphere and music inside were balanced really well. Staff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ very friendly. Our starters included ‘pulled rabbit bau buns’ which were absolutely delicious and I would recommend highly. Four buns for €13 was far too many though. Two would have been plenty. Mains were nice too, my rabbit was excellent and my sons sea bream special was perfectly cooked. We ordered a traditional Maltese mixed pudding which was amazing and accompanied by a complimentary pistachio cake too, in fact all the puddings were given to us complimentary which was a nice touch along with a free Maltese Disderono shot. All very nice and for that reason, I would highly recommend this excellent restaurant. 5 out of 5!

Just the lentils were a bit not enough cooked (said my gf, because for me it was okay) We took the chocolate fondant (as the waiter recommanded us) and 2 scoops of handmade ice cream, it was very good. Service was excellent with the waitress serving us with a smile and helped us in choosing the right dish to our tasting and answering all queries we had on the menu. We were a group of six and starters and all our dishes arrived at the same time. For starters we had The Zekka s with the home made sausage which was out of this world and the tender succulent baby back ribs in finger licken . good sauce . Mains ranged from main pasta dish to home made mouth watering burgers to delicious duck breast. Desserts are very original and irresistable.I recommend this restaurant both for a romantic night, a special occasion of the family etc. Will definitely be back.
